When asked directly earlier today (11/26/12) if the White House “condemned” Egyptian President Muhammad Morsi’s seizure of broad executive powers, which included an effective abrogation of the judiciary’s role in constraining the Sharia supremacist “assembly” drafting Egypt’s new constitution, White House spokesman Jay Carney stated:
We are concerned about it and have raised those concerns
Carney added that President Obama has not spoken with Morsi since lavishing praise upon the Egyptian president—a loyal Muslim Brotherhood member and acolyte—for Morsi’s ostensible role in brokering a truce between Hamas and Israel.
