Muhammad Alshamrani, the Pensacola Naval Air Station jihadist killer, appears to have been motivated, in part, by Al Qaeda’s, and the global Muslim umma’s, obsession with the jihad against Israel. Just prior to the Friday 12/7/19 attack, Alshamrani’s alleged twitter account @M7MD_SHAMRANI posted a threat “You will not be safe until we live it as reality in pleastain [sic],” reiterating a January, 2010 Osama Bin Laden audio message directed at the U.S. for supporting Israel’s right to self-defense.
“The United States will not dream of enjoying safety until we live it in reality in Palestine. It is not fair to enjoy that kind of life while our brothers in Gaza live in the worst of miseries. Allah willing our attacks will continue as long as you support the Israelis and may peace be on those who follow guidance.”
Although Alshamrani lethally attacked a surrogate target representing “Jewish support,” in his estimation, post-9/11/2001 jihad terror directed unequivocally at U.S. Jews, and their institutions, has been an incessant phenomenon. Moreover, the ongoing scope of this threat has not been enumerated, while its animating canonical Islamic religious incitement (see here; here; here for U.S. examples)—and resulting disproportionate 2.4-fold rate of extreme Antisemitism (i.e., 34% of Muslims vs. 14% of non-Muslims) within the U.S. Muslim community—are almost entirely ignored.
Three tables below document six completed, and sixteen thwarted, specific Muslim attacks on U.S. Jews—typically accompanied by an open profession of jihadist motivation—since the 9/11 jihad carnage. The six completed attacks resulted in 8 deaths, and 7 serious injuries.
